My Brother is Disabled but Still Does What He Wants
My brother is disabled from a work related accident several years ago. He lost the use of one of his legs and needs handicap equipment to help him get around. One of the things that really helps him is his prosthetic leg. It enables him to be able to walk wherever he wants to. Sometimes he has to use a walker but not that often. Another thing he has is some handicap equipment in his shower and around his home, mostly just hand rails. This is for when he takes off his prosthetic leg, he can use the hand rails to assist him in doing things like showering, using the bathroom and walking down the hall. My brother really likes being independent and he does not accept help very well from other people. That is why I’m glad he has things he can use which let him lead a good life the way he prefers.
